In this distinctive style, Ukrainians adorned everyday items and even their homes with vibrant patterns and nature-inspired motifs, aiming to safeguard against malevolent forces. "Sealing the Memories" uses old Ukrainian photos that are painted over in a similar art style, which acts as a shield to "protect" the cultural heritage from the persistent "evil forces" that have sought to suppress and dismantle it throughout the centuries.
